Maharajas Institute of Medical Sciences is an amalgamation of competent teachers, state-of-the-art infrastructure and an experienced and efficient administration. The college came into existence with the vision of creating a safe and supportive environment for its students – to provide a perfect balance of academics, sports, artistic and social opportunities.

The college’s genuine concern ensures student’s emotional growth along with intellectual excellence as healthcare providers. This empowers them to develop their self-esteem, self-awareness and self-confidence. Sharing ideas, analyzing situations and expressing them confidently are essential skills which are honed here, through Experiential Learning which is very vital when they face the patients.

Examination Rules

To maintain a healthy and disciplined campus atmosphere and to ensure academic excellence, it is necessary to frame and implement certain rules and regulations. All students are to abide by these rules and regulations.

Students Shall Always Behave With Dignity And Courtesy.
All Students Should Wear Their Identity Card and Apron When They Come To The College.
The Dress Code Will Be Decided By The College.
All correspondence regarding college matters should be addressed to the Director.
Irregular Attendance, Insubordination To Teachers, Habitual Inattention To Class Work, Obscenity In Words or Acts etc Are Sufficient Reasons For The Permanent Dismissal or Temporary Expulsion of A Student.
Students Should Be Punctual For Their Lectures, Clinical Class, Lab Work or Demonstration.

Minimum 85% Attendance Is Required To Appear For Final Examination Held Each Year By The University.
A Written Confirmation Should Be Forwarded To Head of The Department For Leave or Absence From College.
If A Student Wishes To Leave The Course Before The Completion. He Shall Pay Entire Fee for the Course.
Students Are Prohibited For The Following Activities:
- Possession of Any Kind of Drugs
- Smoking
- Drinking of Alcoholic Beverages
This Is An Anti- Ragging or Ragging Free College. So No Kind of Ragging Is Allowed Under Any Circumstances.

Rooms and surroundings must be kept neat and tidy.
Students are required to maintain discipline in the Hostels.
Ragging is strictly prohibited.
Smoking, conception of alcohol and using illegal drugs is strictly banned in Hostel.
Possession of Arms and Ammunition is strictly prohibited inside the Hostel.
All the Hostel Charges shall be paid for every month in Advance.
No inmate must remain in the hostel during class hours.
Cooking inside the Hostel rooms is strictly prohibited.
Students shall avoid all kind of Fight and Quarrel inside the Hostel.
No student is allowed to enter inside Girls Hostel without any written permission.
Timings of hostel and mess must be strictly followed.
Lights and fans must be put off when not in use.
Inmates must take care not to damage any of the furniture and other assets failing in which they have to pay fine.

Inmates must submit application for going home to the warden at least two days in advance.
Inmates must sign in the movement Register (In/Out Register) without fail.
Visitors are not allowed inside the hostel building.
Inmates are not permitted to go out before 6 am and after 6 pm
Inmates are allowed to go to the town for maximum four hours duration only.
Inmates must take permission to conduct any programs or to celebrate in the Hostel.
Application for leave during college working days must be submitted to the Principal.
Application for going home during Holidays must be submitted to the Deputy warden at least two days in advance.
Prior Permission from Parents is mandatory for leaving the premises for any reasons.

Attendance

Minimum 85% attendance is compulsory in each subject for regular candidates to take up the final examination. Students not being allowed to sit for the regular examination due to shortage of attendance. Candidates having attendance of less than 60% will have to start the classes afresh for the next regular examination of next batch.

Examination

University examination will be held at the dec-jan of every year. Candidates appearing for the examination shall appear in theory, oral and practical examination in our Institute.

Marks

Students have to compulsorily secure at least 50 per cent marks in theory including orals and minimum of 40 per cent in practicals to be declared passed.

Revaluation

Candidates can apply for revaluation within 15 days from the date of declaration of their results failing which no revaluation will be done.

Supplementary Examination

As there is one session every year hence the candidates failed in Dec-Jan exam can appear for the Jun-July Supplementary exam.
